Tribe Clean-Up

“It takes a village to raise a child!” This African proverb means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.  This includes encouraging kids (and adults) to make contributions to their village and their TRIBE.

The Strasburg Parks & Rec District wants to promote a true TRIBE culture and has created a Community Clean-up program to welcome you to the TRIBE!

The TRIBE is a group of volunteers that want to give back to their community and assist the District in keeping public spaces clean and free of debris. To volunteer, simply click here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0448A4AF28A7F58-community.

Your 1-hour volunteer commitment will include picking up trash, pulling weeds, communicating issues/opportunities to District Staff, and encouraging others to do the same. The District will provide you with a Volunteer vest and all supplies necessary to complete the tasks listed.

We invite you to sign-up to be a TRIBE Member and help keep your parks clean and safe. Choose from the following time slots:

  • Mondays 10:00-11:00am
  • Thursdays 4:00-5:00pm
  • Saturdays 1:00-2:00pm

A ‘Volunteer Waiver & Release’ is required to participate. The form will be sent via email when you sign-up, please return it to the office before your time slot. All volunteer hours count toward Community Service Learning hours for Hemphill Middle School and Strasburg High School. Children younger than 12, must be accompanied by an adult.

The District is very thankful to the community for their desire to help keep the facilities clean and safe! We look forward to working with you.
