CODE OF CONDUCT

By registering your child, or yourself, you have implicitly agreed to this Code of Conduct for all activities, practices, and competitions to be held on site, or at other locations.

  • I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support and respect for all players, coaches, spectators, and officials (including the opposing team) at every game, practice, or other event.
  • I (and my guests) will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent of either team such as booing, taunting, using profane language or gestures, make insulting comments, verbally threaten, attempt to intimidate, or engage in a physical altercation. Fighting will not be tolerated.
  • I will respect the officials during games and will refrain from questioning, hassling, or confronting officials during or post-game. I will allow coaches to handle all officiating matters.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.
  • I will remain in the spectator area and will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.
  • I will learn the rules of the game and the policies of the league.
  • I will encourage my player to first discuss any concerns with the Coach. Conflict resolution is an important learned skill, and I will support my child to resolve their own issues particularly in discussing playing time, systems, or issues with teammates.
  • I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco (including vaping), and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events. Any individual that is under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not attend games. Violators may be asked to leave.
  • I will teach my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
  • I will not criticize coaches or the organization in a public forum or on social media.
  • If a conflict emerges, I will allow a minimum of 24 hours between parent/player and coach contact. I will contact the coach during reasonable hours (9am-6pm) to make an appointment to discuss issues and concerns. I will treat the coach with the same respect that I expect to be treated with during the meeting.

I understand that participation in youth sports is a privilege, not a right and that my responsibilities include setting an example for children and that any breach of those responsibilities will result in the following:

Strike One: Warning – Verbal or Written

Strike Two: Immediate ejection (from game/practice and/or facility), including suspension from the next scheduled game. If ejected from a second game, suspended for the rest of the season.

Strike Three: Suspension from program/facilities for one year, or lifetime ban depending on severity of situation and possible legal action
