"EAT OUT" AT THE PIZZA SHOP
The PIZZA SHOP has partnered with the Friends of Strasburg Parks and Rec to raise funds for youth activities. When you eat at the PIZZA SHOP (dine in or take-out) on Wednesday, May 16 and/or Tuesday, May 29, they will donate 10% of sales to the Rec District! The Pizza Shop is open from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and is located across from Guaranty Bank in Strasburg. Keep business local and support our youth!
FREE! SUMMER MOVIES IN THE PARK
Grab a blanket and your family and head to the Strasburg South Field for FREE summer movies under the stars. Movies begin at dusk and concessions will be available. Friday, June 1: Little Rascals (PG); Friday, July 6: The Muppets (PG); Friday, August 3: Monsters Inc. (G)
MUD VOLLYBALL & BEER GARDEN FUNDRAISER
Contestants and spectators are invited to GET DIRTY for a good cause! The ‘Friends of Strasburg Parks & Rec’ will host the 1st Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament and Beer Garden Fundraiser on July 28-29. Register your team today, there are limited spots available. In the north field parking lot; $10 per person. ADULT DIVISION (21 & Over Only, ID required): Saturday, July 28, games begin at Noon; YOUTH DIVISION (Grades 5-8 and 9-12+): Sunday, July 29, games begin at 10:00 a.m.; DEADLINE: Friday, July 20. This tournament will replace the Mud Volleyball Tournament during Hometown Days. HEY KIDS...try out the mud for yourselves Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
COMMUNITY GARAGE SPACE AVAILABLE
Register now to reserve a spot for the Rec Center’s Community Garage Sale, Saturday, August 11, located at the Legion Hall during Hometown Days. DUCK SOUP SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
The Duck Soup Softball Tournament is back for Hometown Days! For those who are new to Strasburg, Duck Soup is a crazy alternative to the traditional slow-pitch softball game. And the best part? ANYONE can play! Duck Soup is based entirely on FUN and not at all on talent. Preview the new and improved rules on our web site (under Upcoming Events). Register early – only 5 team slots per division! ADULT DIVISION (18-99): Sunday, August 12, at Five Acre Park; YOUTH DIVISION (Grades 6-12): Sunday, August 12, at South Field; $12 per person; DEADLINE: Friday, Aug. 3.
